2027: We’ll Make It Difficult For Amaechi, ADC To Campaign In Rivers – Wike

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has said that his supporters may make it difficult for Rotimi Amaechi, the Vice Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), to campaign in Rivers State unless he stops calling President Bola Tinubu “a thief “.

Wike made the remarks in reaction to a viral video where Amaechi was seen saying, “It is only thieves and mad people that will vote for Tinubu, who is a thief”, in the 2027 Presidential election.

The Minister, who also used some unprintable words to describe Amaechi, called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to restrain him from attempting to heat up the situation ahead of the general elections.

Wike noted that he is very sure that his supporters in Rivers State would not tolerate such rascality from Amaechi.

According to Wike, ” I’m not the Governor of Rivers State, but I do know that our supporters will not allow him in Rivers State to do that, and it will be difficult; we’ll make it difficult for him not to campaign in Rivers. He cannot do that.

“Except he withdraws and knows that enough is enough. He thinks he can say so and get away free, and go and campaign free? No, it will not be possible. It will not be possible! If security agencies and INEC can fold their hands, well, that’s their business”.

Wike threatened that if Amaechi does not stop the ongoing attacks on Tinubu, other people may have to activate their own madness to respond to him.

”Because we think that, oh, when somebody behaves like that, we’ll leave him free. It’s not only one person that can be mad, but other people can also be mad!

“You can’t continue in that kind of way, and you think that we’ll allow you. We will not allow it! I will not!

“If he continues this line, it will be difficult for him to campaign in Rivers. If he continues along this line, it may be difficult for him to campaign in Rivers. And I want somebody to go and write it down,” he added.
