2027’ll End Politics Of Lies, Deceit In Nigeria – Makinde

The presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Engr. Seyi Makinde, said 2027 will mark the end of politics of lies and deceit in Nigeria.
Makinde who spoke on Saturday at North East zonal townhall meeting in Yola, Adamawa State, said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government told Nigerians that it had the magic wand to solve the challenges confronting us.
He recalled that President Bola Tinubu told Nigerians not to reelect him if he failed to fix electricity in four years.
“We are all aware that they have failed to provide electricity.
“They came up with the presidential policy on CNG and electric vehicles. That policy failed.
“They came up with the naira-for-crude initiative. That policy also failed,” he stated.
Makinde who is the outgoing governor of Oyo State, promised he would be sincere in finding solutions to Nigeria’s challenges that.
“We will not play politics. We will not undermine your rights. We will ensure that we tell you the exact truth. We will listen to you. Solutions can come from anywhere,” he stated.
The candidate called on Nigerians to key into his reset agenda, noting that Nigeria is home to several million people.
“We are the most populous black nation on the face of the earth. We do not deserve what we are getting right now,” he said.
He told the people that the APM would soon unfold its manifesto, which he said was deliberately delayed to get the input from the people at the grassroots level.
“I will listen to you, and we promise that we will find new solutions to the problems we are faced with as a nation,” he added.
Makinde said his government would be a transitional government of national unity, which he said, would not last beyond four years.
“And it will be an all-inclusive government,” he assured.
The APM National Leader, Senator Bala Mohammed, said the party is a force to be reckoned with.
Senator Mohammed who is also governor of Bauchi State, noted that APM’s presidential candidate believes in inclusivity, mutual respect and non-tribal initiatives, adding that he has the capacity to reset the country.
APM vice presidential candidate, Lawal Daura, said Nigeria needs to reset, “otherwise, we will continue to be in motion but without movement.”
He however admitted that it would not be an easy task, “and it will only require very serious-minded Nigerians to be in APM.
“But we are determined to reset Nigeria for the good of all.”
