Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Minister of Interior, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, and his counterpart in Youth Development, Ayo Olawande, have been nominated to the state’s presidential campaign council of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Also, the Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, commissioners, and top government officials have been nominated as members of the council that will campaign for Tinubu’s re-election.

Former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Victor Olabimtan, was appointed as the Director General of the campaign council, while former Governor Olusegun Mimiko was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the council.

In a statement signed by the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kolawole Babatunde said the Presidential Campaign Council has been constituted ahead of the 2027 general elections

The statement read: “The Council is expected to coordinate and strengthen grassroots mobilisation and support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all other candidates of the APC in next year’s general elections.

“The Council brings together experienced political leaders, stakeholders, women and youth leaders, support groups and grassroots mobilizers across the state, with a shared commitment to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda and securing victory for President Tinubu and other candidates of the party in 2027.

“The development is expected to further unite APC stakeholders and supporters across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State towards a successful electioneering campaign.”
