Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis is set to join United Arab Emirates outfit Al Jazira from Turkish Super Lig club Göztepe, Completesports.com reports.

According to Turkish outlet, DHA, Göztepe and Al Jazira have reached an agreement for the transfer of the 22-year-old in a deal worth €5m.

Dennis has attracted interest from a number of European clubs following his impressive performances for Göztepe.

The defensive midfielder was reportedly on the radar of clubs in England, Spain and Germany, but has now opted to continue his career in the United Arab Emirates.

The move will bring an end to Dennis’ three-year spell with Göztepe, whom he joined from Nigerian side HB Academy Abuja in 2023.

Dennis quickly established himself in the first team and has developed into one of the club’s promising young players.

He featured regularly for Göztepe last season, making 31 appearances across all competitions and scoring three goals.

The midfielder’s performances have also earned him recognition at international level.

Dennis received his first invitation to the Super Eagles squad in March 2025 for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, although he is yet to make his senior international debut for Nigeria.

He currently has one year remaining on his contract with Göztepe.

The transfer to Al Jazira will see Dennis begin a new chapter in his career in the UAE Pro League, subject to the completion of the necessary formalities.
