The Nigeria Democratic Congress NDC campaign mobilisation team under the leadership of House of Representative, Malam Sodangi Adam Chindo has adopted a five-supervisor structure to coordinate grassroots mobilisation across 12 wards outside the Bauchi metropolis.
The decision was reached during a meeting with representatives of the 12 wards, where stakeholders discussed strategies for effective voter mobilisation and grassroots engagement.
Speaking during the innuguration of the supervisor Wednesday in Bauchi, the Director General Campaign, Ibrahim Ladan Wunti said under the new arrangement, the 12 wards will be grouped under five supervisors, with each supervisor responsible for coordinating activities across two or three wards.
He explained that the wards were grouped as follows: Liman Katagum, Mun and Munsal; Zungur, Danndango and Yamrat; Kangere and Gwaskwaram; Turwun, Kundum and Durum; and Burshi and Miri.
According to him each ward is expected to select 10 youths, comprising five males and five females, who will participate in house-to-house visits, voter mobilisation and sensitisation of residents.
The DG added that the initiative is being coordinated by Malam Bala, who was appointed Coordinator/Representative for the area with responsibility for youth and women mobilisation.
According to the organisers, the structure is designed to strengthen coordination, improve grassroots supervision and ensure that mobilisation activities reach residents at the ward level.
The campaign DG, said the inclusion of equal numbers of male and female youths from each ward would provide greater participation for young people and women in the mobilisation exercise.
He expressed optimism that the ward-based structure would enhance communication between the leadership and grassroots teams while providing a clear framework for monitoring mobilisation activities across the 12 wards.
In his speech, the NDC House of Representative candidate Sodangi Adam Chindo expressed satisfaction with the support and assured of working together towards achieving the desired goal.
Sodangi Chindo, whose campaign slogan is “A Brighter Bauchi, A Greater Tomorrow,” said the SHARES agenda is designed to address security, health, education, agriculture, representation and economic empowerment.
