EPL: Carrick, Bruno Fernandes in showdown talks ahead Chelsea vs Man Utd

  • PublishedOctober 28, 2026

Manchester United manager, Michael Carrick, has held clear-the-air talks with captain Bruno Fernandes.

Carrick left Fernandes on the bench for the entire 90 minutes of the 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth last weekend.

Many saw it as punishment for the Portugal midfielder criticizing Carrick's tactics in the defeat to Como in the Champions League.

With United's hierarchy now deciding to keep Carrick in the job ahead of the Premier League trip to Chelsea, both men have had a conversation about the incident.
