NPFL: Sporting Lagos boss Buter summoned over controversial referee remarks
Sporting Lagos head coach, Jeffrey Buter has been summoned by the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, for his comment after his side’s matchday six encounter against Barau FC.
The modest side held Barau FC to a 1-1 draw in the encounter played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
Buter launched a scathing attack on the the standard of refereeing in the NPFL after the keenly contested encounter.
The young tactician questioned centre referee, Abubakar Abdullahi’s handling of the game.
The NPFL frowned at his comments, and has now invited him to Abuja for questioning.
Buter is expected to report at the NPFL headquarters in Abuja this week.
