A company linked to the Chairman of First HoldCo Plc, Mr. Olufemi Otedola, has acquired 1.779 billion ordinary shares of the financial services holding company in a transaction valued at approximately N222.27 billion, reinforcing the significant shareholder’s investment in the group.

The acquisition was disclosed by First HoldCo Plc in a regulatory filing submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Thursday under the Exchange’s insider dealing disclosure requirements.

According to the notification dated July 30, 2026, the shares were purchased by Calvados Global Services Limited, a company identified in the filing as related to a significant shareholder, Mr. Olufemi Otedola, CON.

The filing indicated that the transaction represents an initial notification.

Details contained in the disclosure showed that Calvados Global Services Limited acquired 1,779,094,976 ordinary shares of First HoldCo at N124.90 per share, bringing the total value of the acquisition to about N222.27 billion.

The transaction was executed on July 30, 2026 on the trading floor of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) in Lagos.

The disclosure, signed by the Group Company Secretary, Abiola Baruwa, stated that the purchase involved ordinary shares of First HoldCo Plc with ISIN: NGFBNH000009.

The company also provided its Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) as 029200370B2O2ZA1C754 in compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
